Wooden/Hopper Feeders and Trays
Hoppers and Trays are some of the most efficient and attractive feeders because they appeal to ground feeders (Cardinals, Doves, Bluejays), as well as small tree-clinging birds (Chickadees, Finches, Nuthatches).
Hopper Feeders come in a variety of materials and sizes these days. Bird's Choice, among others, continues to lead the pack in design and quality. We carry 3 sizes of their Cedar Hoppers, all with a suet cage on either end, to make it more attractive to birds. Their new Recycled Plastic Hoppers are made from post-consumer milk jugs, and never need painting and will not chip, crack or fade.
Feeder Tray design has followed a similar route. They come small, medium, large, pole mounted, hanging, and one of our favorite designs has a "pass-through" hole in the center, so it can be mounted on a pole under a hopper.
