Description

The Perky Pet Pinch-waist Hummingbird Feeder has been an Audubon Shop top seller for close to 30 years. Several improvements have been made recently.

Holding up to 8 ounces of nectar, this hummingbird feeder features a transparent glass bottle with a pinched waist and a new wide mouth for easy filling and cleaning. It’s bright-red plastic top and base offer visual appeal while quickly catching the attention of hummingbirds.

This Perky Pet Pinch-waist Hummingbird Feeder’s design also includes four flower-shaped feeding stations, each with a resting perch and a built-in bee guard to protect the nectar supply. The newly designed bee guards are easy to remove and the yellow cage cover hinges open for thorough cleaning.

The top of the feeder has a built-in ant moat on the top (simply fill with water to keep ants away).

*Remember to clean your hummingbird feeders once every 4 days in the heat of summer. White vinegar is a good cleaner. Add one tbsp to water, use a sponge or bottle brush to clean all large parts, use your Mini Port Brush to clean out ports, rinse well and refill.

Making your own nectar is easy! 1 part white sugar (and nothing else) to 4 or 5 parts hot water, stir to dissolve and cool.

Helpful tip: keep a quart of nectar in the fridge for easy refills. (Hummingbirds don’t mind cold nectar.) If you make your own, it’s 1 part sugar to 4-5 parts of water.

Or, if this is a gift, start them off with our easy mix nectar with no red dye. Just add water. Never use red dye products!

Use one of our Window Glass Hangers (with suction cups) to hang it in front of a favorite window or if you want to hang it in your garden, this metal pole is what you need (pole is curbside pickup only). Erva Hummingbird Feeder Pole
